We can fell trees of all sizes and have done so safely in some very tight spaces.

Sometimes we will bring them down with one cut, but in and around homes we usually take them down in bits. If the area below the tree is particularly tight we will often rig it so that the wood is carried away from the danger zone into an area where we can bring the wood to the ground safely.

We can also prune trees by trimming the tops or ends of the branches, or by reducing the branches right back to the crown. More often than not it's somewhere inbetween.

Crown lifting, or the removal of branches growing low down (epicormic growth) is another service we offer. This is particularly common on lime trees (Tilia). We can also remove hanging branches the biggest of which are called "widow makers". Oh dear!

Storm damage, overhanging branches and taking the weight out of leaf laden limbs. Ash dieback has become a common disease in Northern Ireland and you can see it taking hold on many ash trees. You can see them with the dead branches at the top, these then work their way down. As this occurs the centre of the tree rots as in the photo beside shows. We can advise and carry out work as requested.

We also offer a stump removal service though sometimes it's just easier to grind them which we also do. Unlike most other tree outfits we can neatly reinstate lawns if stumps etc. are removed, because of my background in horticulture.

So whether its to prune an apple tree or supply a load of bark at a private home, or bigger works like site clearance or the construction of a woodland path, we would like to talk to you about it.

Please also note although we specialise in tree work we have also been known to cut hedges and shrubs etc. We can put up fences and even supply and plant new trees and hedging at reasonable rates, though if we are busy this is usually only carried out in conjunction with initial tree works. So please phone the number above and we'll try are best to help.
